
Tadpole Troopers

Tadpole Troopers classes are nature investigations for 3, 4 and early 5 year olds accompanied by a big person of their choice. Learn how to engage your child or grandchild in a lifelong love of the outdoors. |
Join us this fall as we grab our nets and go "dipping" in the ponds. We will learn about the different organisms that live in or around pond habitats.
Saturdays, 2:00-3:15 p.m. - Our special section for 5 year olds only is designed to meet the growth and development needs of your 5 year old and serve as a transition into the Naturalist Explorers classes.
- One parent/adult participant per child required (only one adult please).
- Advanced reservation required. Register online or by mail or fax (713-682-2539). Payment must be included at time of registration.
- Registration deadline is the Wednesday prior to each class; confirmation will be mailed or emailed to you.
- Cost (per child/per class): $12 for members (Family Tree or above); $24 for non-members.
- Series Discount: Register for all 4 classes by September 10 and save: $45 for members; $90 for non-members.
- Cancellation policy: You must notify us of your cancellation in writing via fax (713-682-2539) or email no later than 10 days prior to class to receive a 50% refund. No refunds are issued within 10 days of class.

September: Insects Aren't so Icky
Come discover how dragonflies spend part of their lifecycle in the water and then develop into beautiful flying creatures. We will have a fabulous time looking for whirligigs, backswimmers, and water striders. |

November: Fantastic Fish
What eats mosquitoes for lunch? It is a mosquito fish! Come join us as we "go fishing" and discover how fish are very important insect controllers. |
