Nature Photography for Youth - July 21 - 25

In this class students are transported out of the classroom and into the nature wonderland of the Houston Arboretum for some exciting hands-on learning. The students, armed with cameras, will head into the Arboretum on a mission to hunt down the perfect shot that will translate classroom knowledge of art into photographic images of nature. Join nature photographer Shelly Khan for an exciting week learning how to use your digital point-and-shoot or SLR camera to make sharp, colorful, well-composed nature photographs. This 5-day workshop is for all students ages 10 to 18. Instructor: Shelley Khan is a teacher with the Lamar Consolidated Indepedent School District. She has experience as an art teacher in public education and in her own art studio giving private lessons. Shelley incorporates her knowledge of art in her nature photography. Class Date: Five sessions Cost: $150 for members; $180 for non-members Class Registration closed. |
